I found this book fascinating. Pieter-Dirk Uys is one of my all time favorite icons so I could not wait to start reading. I did not expect the honesty and depth of this Memoir. It was terribly funny in parts, shocking in other parts and it took me on one hell of a joy ride through the history of the Theatre in South Africa at the time. What I've read in this memoir will stay with me for a long time to come. I have the greatest respect for the author who cares so deeply about the people of South Africa. What a read!!
